Update on progress in 2019

Testing
Testing has been conducted with the following instruments at the following universities:

English (CALS)	Cape Peninsula University of Technology North West University Tshwane University of Technology University of Johannesburg
Mathematics	Cape Peninsula University of Technology North West University Tshwane University of Technology University of the Free State University of Johannesburg University of the Western Cape University of the Witwatersrand University of Zululand

More mathematics tests will be conducted at three other universities.

A national data set will be compiled in early 2020.

Assessment item data bank

The Assessment Working group has secured a further DHET grant to work for two-years on a proper item bank for Mathematics and English.

The working group is also developing a proposal for the further online testing and reporting functionality and for extending and trialing mathematics learning materials.
