Congratulations to the new NASCEE Board

The Annual General Meeting of the National Association of Social Change Entities in Education (NASCEE) was held on 5 November 2025. JET Education Services extends its congratulations to the newly elected and returning members of the NASCEE Board of Directors. We are especially proud of our Chief Financial Officer, Mororiseng Maapola, who has been elected as the new Chairperson.

Mororiseng Maapola CA(SA) is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial management in both corporate and non-profit settings. She has contributed significantly to education and community development through her work with organisations such as the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)  & Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) project at Vuselela TVET College and Junior Achievement South Africa. Since joining JET in 2022, she has played a key role in maintaining a strong control environment, driving the automation of systems, and securing unqualified audit opinions for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, and 2024). She remains actively involved in education sector initiatives, including NASCEE and youth entrepreneurship programmes through the EDHE intervarsity competitions.

Reflecting on her appointment, Mororiseng notes:

This appointment is both an honour and a responsibility. It reflects not only the trust placed in me by NASCEE but also the belief and support of JET’s leadership, especially Dr James Keevy. My journey in the education sector has shown me the power of collaboration, especially in under-resourced communities.

JET is a proud co-founding member of NASCEE, which brings together education NPOs working towards South Africa’s national development goals. JET CEO, Dr James Keevy, served as NASCEE Chairperson from 2019 to 2021.
