Job Title: Training Coordinator
Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg
Terms: 1-year contract fixed-term contract
Salary: R600 000.00 - R700 000.00 CTC per annum.
JET Education Services seeks to appoint a Training Coordinator to establish and coordinate training policy, infrastructure and delivery of training programmes. The Coordinator will work closely with senior managers and staff as the lead, convenor, and liaison for all the training functions and activities. This is a new position, and JET seeks to appoint a mid-level candidate.
Purpose of the position
The incumbent will manage the establishment and activation of a training unit in the organisation. The successful candidate will implement strategies to operationalise training functionalities by JET, developing products and accreditation of such offerings, support training coordination capacity to be available, administration, record keeping, reporting, and ensuring effective establishment of such a unit. The training unit should be established within a 6-12 month period.
Required Outputs and Responsibilities
1. Training Policy
- Review and develop JET training policy and procedures
- Coordinate consultations with staff, management and the JET Board
- Establish guidelines on how staff can contribute to training (fulltime, contract and associates)
- Ensure that the necessary accreditations routes are understood and followed where required
- Establish a credentialing framework to facilitate the awards of certificates and other credentials
2. Training Administration
- Scheduling and coordinating internal and external training and workshops.
- Maintain training calendars and training attendance registers.
- Capture training records on internal systems and databases.
- Prepare training materials, packs, and attendance certificates.
- Update training matrices and skills databases.
3. Training Support
- Support implementation of training programmes.
- Liaise with employees, facilitators, and service providers regarding training arrangements.
- Assist with booking training venues and logistics.
- Market training opportunities internally and/or externally as may be required.
- Ensure all training documentation is accurately completed and filed.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with applying for training registrations and accreditation with relevant bodies
- Assist with capturing and tracking mandatory training compliance.
- Monitor expiry dates for certificates and licenses where applicable.
- Prepare monthly training reports and statistics.
- Support skills development and audit preparation processes.
5. System Administration
- Maintain training registers and reports.
- Use tools such as: data validation, conditional formatting, filters and pivot tables.
- Ensure document control and versioning.
6. Reporting
- Prepare training completion reports.
- Assist with filing and managing training documentation electronically.
- Support the Training Division with general administrative duties.
7. Business development
- Proposal writing to potential clients.
- Submitting Grant Application
Qualifications / Experience
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Development, Training & Development, or Administration.
- More than 5 years’ experience in training administration, or learning and development environment.
- 5 years’ experience working with SETA’s, QCTO or other accreditation bodies.
- Report writing experience
- Financial management experience.
- Coordination and logistics experience
- Strong Google Suite and Microsoft Office knowledge and experience.
- Organisational design will be beneficial
- Extensive understanding of SAQA policies and the NQF.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training-related software.
- Certifications in instructional design or similar areas are beneficial
