TICZA invites proposals for the 24-month (2026–2028) prototyping phase focused on institutionalising ESTIs within South African ITE policies and practices.
Services:
- Competency testing
- Survey development and administration
- Lesson observations
- Cost benefit analysis
- Sustainability modelling
Timelines:
- RfP opens: 12 February 2026
- Optional online vendor Q&A session: 23 February 2026, 12:00–14:00 (MS Teams Link here)
- Submission deadline: 28 February 2026 COB
- Review and selection: 2-6 March 2026
- Award date: 10 March 2026
The primary objectives are to:
- Demonstrate Competency
- Determine Affordability and Viability
- Establish Evidence Base
- Refine the Standardised ESTI Model
The prototyping process aims to contribute directly to systemic improvement and inform national policy instruments such as MRTEQ reviews, WIL frameworks, FLBP refinements, and teacher placement systems.
