Launching the School Food and Nutrition Gardens (SFNG) Manual Handbook

The Anglo American South Africa (AASA) Education Programme, part of the Anglo American Sustainability Strategy, aims to improve learners’ educational outcomes.

The School Food and Nutrition Gardens (SFNGs) programme supports the establishment of sustainable school gardens that supplement school meals provided by the National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP) and serve as an educational resource to deliver quality education.

The SFNG Community of Practice Guideline covers:

  • Towards sustainable school food & nutrition gardens

  • Environmental calendar and homestead gardens initiative

  • Fruit tree propagation programme
