Launch of a UNESCO practical guide on Integrating AI in TVET

Artificial intelligence (AI) is entering workplaces and learning environments faster than many systems are prepared to respond. In technical and vocational education and training (TVET), AI affects occupational competencies, qualification requirements and the institutional choices that shape how training is designed and delivered.

JET Education Services is proud to have contributed to this important global publication.

The UNESCO publication Integrating AI in TVET: A practical guide for institutions was developed together with Shenzhen Polytechnic University and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, with contributions from several AI experts in TVET across the globe.

The practical guide responds to the growing need for tailored AI strategies in TVET systems. Grounded in UNESCO’s work on AI ethics and informed by evidence from all regions, the guide addresses governance, curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, professional development, safety-critical training and institutional innovation, offering principles for responsible, human-centred AI use, alongside practical tools for phased implementation across diverse contexts.

The official launch event took place on:

Monday, 6 July 2026, 12:00–14:00

The online webinar took place in English, with simultaneous interpretation in Chinese, French and Spanish.
