JET becomes a signatory to the Groningen Declaration Network (GDN)

JET Education Services joins the Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) as one of its signatory members at the GDN virtual signing ceremony, 11 November 2021.

JET Education Services is pleased to join the Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) in its efforts to lead and inform global strategies on educational data, while promoting a secure, flexible and accessible data ecosystem. JET's application to become a signatory to the GDN was approved on 4 October 2021 and JET officially  joined the list of signatories at the GDN annual conference, held on the 11 November 2021.

The Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) builds on the Groningen Declaration of 2012 on Digital Student Data Depositories Worldwide. The declaration's intent, among others, is to "establish a global area of convergence on digital student data depositories", "unleash the full potential of digital student data depositories" and "make free movement of students and skilled workers a reality".

The GDN is an "international, nonprofit and voluntary network of like-minded organizations and individuals that want to make digital student data portability happen." It "seeks common ground in best serving the academic and professional mobility needs of citizens worldwide by bringing together stakeholders in the digital student data ecosystem".

The GDN currently consists of participants and signatories of over 29 countries worldwide.
