Celebrating Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation with EDHE 2025

Continuing JET’s commitment to supporting youth entrepreneurship and innovation, the EDHE Entrepreneurship Intervarsity Regional Rounds 2025 took place from 21 July to 29 August 2025. JET CFO, Mororišeng Maapola, was part of the panel of judges at the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) Intervarsity Gauteng and Northern Regional Rounds. The EDHE - Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education Regional Round brings together talented studentpreneurs from different universities to pitch innovative, research-driven business ideas for a spot at the national finals in November.

JET CFO, Mororišeng Maapola, returned to the judging panel, the second time in the Northern Regional Rounds, hosted at the University of Venda. Beyond the exciting youth innovation and studentpreneur pitches, Rori reflects on the rich heritage of Vha-Venda she encountered during the journey: "During the tour I learnt about the history behind Sibasa town, named after Chief Tshivhase, the visit to Thathe forest that led to beautiful views of Thathe Vondo dam and enjoyed stories about the deep, rich history of the sacred forest."

A reminder that entrepreneurship thrives when rooted in culture and community.
