JET seeks to appoint a dynamic and accomplished high level Specialist Manager: Education Management and Implementation (EMI)

The specialist manager is required to play a strategic role in JET's EMI Division.
Responsibilities of the post include: spearheading the execution of ICT in education projects; monitoring and evaluation of projects across JET’s six thematic areas; the conceptualisation of proposals; and also new business development. IN addition, the incumbent must conceptualise, develop and contribute to the current EMI school-based improvement project strategies, projects and people management in a manner that will enable the achievement of JET’s strategic objectives and tie into the JET value chain.


The appointed specialist manager will be offered a two-year fixed-term contract and must meet the following requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree level education in international development, curriculum and policy or similar field.
  • Knowledge of ICT in education.
  • Proven track record of coordinating and supporting large scale complex interventions and extensive high-level project
    coordination experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in project management, including large scale education projects with budget
    tracking and flawless record keeping.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of monitoring and evaluation experience.
  • Experienced in curriculum review and development.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft suite, MS Access, R/Stata and programme management.
  • Experienced with working with donors and donor countries preferred.
  • Knowledge of linguistics and experience with working in African languages preferred.
