Kelly has a masters Degree in Linguistics as well as a Masters Degree in Science of Education. She has seven years of experience in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks in education contexts across three countries, including diverse interventions aimed at curriculum reform, district development, learner enhancement, school stakeholder engagement and psychosocial initiatives.

She has extensive project management experience, having overseen the delivery of:  National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) programmes in two districts in the rural Eastern Cape; an ICT for education learner intervention in Limpopo; learning enhancement programmes for the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia (UNAGP) in Philadelphia; and summer learning experiences in Oita, Japan.

Additional skills include curriculum design and implementation. She has worked as a curriculum development advisor at the Oita Board of Education; on the design and development of the South African version of the award-winning Bridges to the Future Initiative that focuses on the use of multimedia applications to promote reading in South Africa’s indigenous languages; and on the development of frameworks for curriculum-linked ICT-based content training in mathematics in Grades 1-3. Kelly has also reviewed existing lessons for Grades 6 and 9 in mathematics and science.

Kelly has a history of stakeholder engagement and knowledge-sharing and has worked with NGOs, schools, funding organisations and government officials.
