Seome Maowasha, Junior Project Officer

Seome has a B Ed (Senior and FET phases: Technology:Technika).

His interest is in education policy and the creation of a value chain within the various levels of the system, with a focus on the alignment of the education system with the needs of the labour market in order to plug the skills gaps. 

He has participated in several initiatives that have enhanced this interest, for example, Targeting Talent speared headed by Prof. L. Nongca at Wits University, the Umsobomvu Youth Fund’s Thusong Youth Project managed by JET Education Services, Jumpstart managed by JET, and the Graduate Internship Project (GIP) managed by JET, SSACI, and the NBI in collaboration with FET colleges.

Seome is currently completing a Master of Management in Public and Development Management. He hopes to conduct further research in the skills development domain.

Responsibilities: Coordination, administration, research, data management and capturing, strategic planning, monitoring and reporting.
