Double-Hugh Marera

Double-Hugh has an MPhil (Demography) and a BSc Hons (Statistics).

Double-Hugh joined JET Education Services in September 2010.

Prior to joining JET, he had been working at the Children’s Institute at the University of Cape Town. He has five years' experience in data analysis, socio-economic indicator monitoring and policy research. He has co-authored an academic publication on child-headed households in South Africa. He has worked on the South African Child Gauge, a flagship publication on the situation of children in South Africa.

He is interested in, among other things, the links between mortality, poverty and education.

Responsibilities: All matters relating to numbers: Statistical methodology, sampling, report writing, data analysis, etc.
